House Democratic lawmakers today unveiled a package of commonsense gun safety measures they say will work to curb gun violence and save lives in Ohio. The call comes amid a spike in gun violence and Ohio’s new no duty to retreat bill taking effect earlier this month.

State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) today applauded the House passage of a $2 billion package of coronavirus relief bills to deliver direct aid for schools, rent and utility assistance, childcare providers, bars and restaurants, lodging, and other industries facing economic impact from the coronavirus pandemic. State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) issued a statement following the passage of House Bill (HB) 74, the state’s two-year transportation budget. Democrats fought against the governor’s proposed cuts to public transit funding in the bill, securing $193.7 million over the next two years, double the governor’s proposed investment. Rep. Robinson voted in favor of the bill, which now heads to the Senate for consideration.
