Robb Blasdel Announces State Funding for Greenway Trail Repairs in Columbiana County
COLUMBUS—State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel (R-Columbiana) announced today the Columbiana County Park District has been awarded state funding to help repair the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail.
“The Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail is one of Columbiana County’s hidden gems! Whether you're biking, walking, or running, this beautiful, safe, paved trail offers stunning views of wooded areas, wetlands, and open fields,” said Robb Blasdel. “I am thrilled to see additional resources available to maintain the trail, and I encourage families to utilize the trail and enjoy time together in the coming summer months.”
The Columbiana County Park District has received nearly $1.3 million to resurface 12 miles of the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail. Funding for the projects is through the Ohio Department of Transportation, Transportation Alternative Program.
TAP is a $52 million grant program that provides state funding for transportation alternatives awarded over the next four years, including on and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving access to public transportation and enhanced mobility, community improvement activities, recreational trails, and Safe Routes to School projects.
