State Rep. Monica Robb Blasdel (R-Columbiana County) announces the region will receive $500,000 through the Appalachian Community Grant Program for technical assistance grants to local organizations. The State Controlling Board approved the funding during their meeting on Monday.
“It’s great to see these investments coming to our communities as these projects are going to bolster our infrastructure, workforce, health care and much more across our region,” said Robb Blasdel.
The following entities received the following allocations from the technical assistance grants:
- Columbiana County Port Authority - $175,000
- Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber - $75,000
- Carroll County - $250,000
Only local government and government-related entities are eligible to apply, however, the program encourages collaboration.
The next State Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for April 3.
