COLUMBUS — State Rep. Derrick Hall (D-Akron) this week introduced House Resolution (HR) 262, a resolution to honor the 200th anniversary of the Tallmadge Church. Dedicated on September 8th, 1825, the Tallmadge Church represents the rich history of the city of Tallmadge. It serves as a historical landmark, an event venue, and a place to gather and learn in the community.

“I am proud to introduce this resolution to recognize the preservation efforts and the history of my district. The Tallmadge Church is a symbol of education and community, and we must continue to learn about our history and celebrate accomplishments like these,” said Rep. Hall.

The 200th anniversary of the Tallmadge Church reflects the hard work and dedication that has gone into conserving this historical monument. HR 262 seeks to honor the individuals involved, the impact on the Tallmadge community, and the importance of Ohio’s commitment to education and history.

HR 262 was adopted in the House Rules & Reference Committee this week.
