COLUMBUS—Yesterday, State Rep. Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) was named vice chairman of a bipartisan work group, OHIO 2020, to aid in the state’s economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic. House Democrats formed similar work groups in recent weeks, releasing short and long-term priorities to benefit those hit hardest by the pandemic. Upchurch released the following statement:

“I look forward to working with my colleagues to provide Ohioans relief in the short-term from this pandemic,” said Upchurch. “I hope we can put political differences aside and provide recommendations to get transitioning Ohioans back to work.”

This announcement follows calls from House Democrats last week to reconvene the General Assembly to address outstanding issues they say cannot wait until after the pandemic subsides.
