COLUMBUS — The Ohio Jewish Caucus today released a statement calling on gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to renounce comments from Liberty Valley Church Pastor Jeff Tauring describing modern Judaism as “fake.” Ramaswamy has appeared twice at the Northfield church, most recently in May alongside Tauring for a campaign event focused on “The Future of Religious Liberty.”

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Eric Synenberg (D-Beachwood) today refused to support a 90-day gas tax holiday, saying Ohioans need relief at the pump, but the Republican proposal is not the best use of $725 million in state funds while families continue to struggle with the cost of health care, child care, groceries, housing, utilities and other basic expenses.

The bill allocates nearly $4 billion for the maintenance, renovation, and construction of state-owned infrastructure, including colleges, universities, school districts, and other community projects including $1.4 million for House District 21.  

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Jewish Caucus in partnership with the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation this week hosted a community town hall that brought together dozens of community members for a conversation about the issues impacting Ohio’s Jewish Community and the role state government can play in addressing them.
