COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced Youngstown will receive $293,395 in grants from the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) and the State Operating Budget (HB 96).  The OAC Board approved over $23 million in grants to support artists, nonprofits, arts organizations, culture organizations, students, educators, and public arts programing. Youngstown received grants from three categories: ArtSTART, sustainability, and TeachArtsOhio. ArtSTART grants help organizations complete short term projects.  The majority were sustainability grants that help support the operation of arts and culture activities. TeachArtsOhio grants connects schools with teaching artists to create personal and high-quality arts learning experiences.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board has approved $11,075,744.85 for the Ohio State Penitentiary for updates to their HVAC system. There are approximately 475 HVAC dampers throughout the facility. The project will also upgrade damaged or deteriorating HVAC system equipment, replace actuators and components to the Johnson Controls System, and replace and install of approximately 80 fire alarm heads and bases. This project will be administered by the Ohio Faciliities Construction Commission (OFCC).
