COLUMBUS – State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced $150,000 in grant funding from The Ohio Supreme Court’s Ohio Courts Technology Initiative for the Youngstown Municipal Court, allowing for major upgrades to their Case Management System (CMS), including implementing an option to e-file.

“Upgrading our court technology and streamlining our judiciary is a good thing for Youngstown,” said Rep. McNally. “We need to make government more efficient and accessible, and that includes every branch.”

The Ohio Courts Technology Initiative, funded via line item in the annual state budget bill, is intended to fund new or existing technology and security projects for Courts throughout Ohio, addressing issues where a lack of sufficient technology impedes the administration of justice. The CMS in Youngstown Municipal Court is used to manage and track cases, and was one of 42 recipients statewide totaling $2,912,923.43 in awards.
