SCOTUS Affirmative Action Decision Will Deny Students Access and Opportunity

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland) today states that the 6-2 ruling on Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard by the U.S. Supreme Court opens the door to deny access and opportunity for many students.

“One of the greatest assets of District 18 is our diversity. This ruling from the United States Supreme Court opens the door to deny access and opportunity to many students across this state,”  said Rep. Brewer. “We must ensure that all colleges, especially the ones in Ohio, are committed to ensuring a diverse and inclusive campus for all students. This sets up a fight to continue to expand diversity and understanding throughout education. We can’t let this decision be the last word.”
