Columbus – State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland) today expresses regret that the pleas to line-item veto certain sections of HB 45 went ignored by Governor Mike DeWine prior to him signing the bill into law.

“I’m disappointed  the governor failed to veto the proposals that will create unwanted obstructions to affordable housing and senior developments in Ohio, especially District 18,” said Rep. Brewer. “I remain optimistic though and look forward to working with Governor DeWine and his administration on a solution and putting together a statewide affordable housing approach, as he suggested in his upcoming budget proposal.”

Creating safe, affordable housing options in Ohio is one of Rep. Brewer’s top priorities this General Assembly. Rep. Brewer believes financial incentives coupled with public incentives are essential in creating affordable housing projects and developments.
