Rep. Brewer Calls for Action from the General Assembly to Combat Gun Violence as More Ohioans Killed
COLUMBUS—State Rep. Darnell T. Brewer (D-Cleveland, Garfield Heights, Maple Heights) today calls for the passage of House Bills 175, 186, 420, and 421.
“As the governor was giving his State of the State for Ohio, another child lost his life to gun violence. Again, I am pleading with this General Assembly to not only begin discussion on, but pass HB 175, HB 186, HB 420, HB 421, and other legislation introduced by Democratic members of this General Assembly. This death may have been prevented if HB 175 and HB 186 were enacted into law. We mourn with the family, and I continue to ask my colleagues within the Republican party to begin listening to the voices of Ohioans and enact common-sense solutions to gun violence,” said Rep. Brewer.
