Rep. Russo, House Dems announce nearly $325 million in funds for COVID-19 relief

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) and House Democrats Monday announced the approval of funds by the Controlling Board to further aid the state’s response to the health and economic hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Funding was also approved for voter education efforts and to support women-owned and veteran friendly businesses.

Rep. Russo announces $650 Million in COVID-19 relief funds for distribution to Ohio's local governments

COLUMBUS – State Representative Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) announced this week the passage of House Bill (H.B.) 614, legislation that allocates a total of $650 million in federal CARES Act relief funds for local governments in Ohio. The funds are to be used to offset costs faced by local governments directly caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Previously approved by the Ohio Senate, the bill now heads to the Governor’s desk.

Rep. Russo, House Dems: "We should be in session right now"

COLUMBUS –Today, State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) participated in a virtual press conference with other House Democratic lawmakers to discuss legislative solutions that are needed as the state faces multiple unprecedented crises. The Ohio House was scheduled to meet for an if-needed House session today, but Speaker Robert Cupp canceled on Friday, Sept. 11.

Rep. Russo, House Dems: Ohioans facing uncertainty amid unprecedented crises demand change

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) and Ohio House Democrats today announced the end of their Ohio Promise Virtual Town Hall Tour, which comprised of more than two-dozen virtual town halls since June on topics including COVID-19, jobs and the economy, racial justice, gun safety and voting access. Across the state, over 20,000 Ohioans tuned in to these town halls to hear from their elected officials and ask questions.

Rep. Russo joins House Democrats to urge LaRose to do more to prepare state for November election

COLUMBUS— State Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) and House Democrats Tuesday sent a letter to Secretary of State Frank LaRose addressing recent major developments in Ohio’s elections. Ohioans watched last week as Post Office mailboxes and processing machinery were dismantled and removed in Ohio and across the country. Following national outcry over potential election interference, USPS has said they would halt additional reorganization changes until after the November election, but it is still unclear whether the reductions in service and processing will be undone.
