COLUMBUS  – State Representative Bill Roemer (R – Richfield) today announced the passage of House Bill 513. The bill creates a “bad debt refund” for tobacco wholesalers, similar to the current sales tax refund for retail bad debt. Simply put, a wholesaler who faces bad debt from tobacco sales will now be able to claim a refund from the state for the tax they pay upfront.

SUMMIT COUNTY – State Representative Bill Roemer (R – Richfield) this week voted in support of House Bill 687, Ohio’s $3.5 billion construction budget. 

COLUMBUS – Today State Representative Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announced that House Bills 372 and 542 have been passed by Ohio House of Representatives and will now head to the Ohio Senate for further consideration. House Bill 372 aims to make Ohio’s building inspection process more efficient by allowing for expedited appeals, and House Bill 542 updates Ohio’s cosmetology and barbering statutes to reflect current standards.

COLUMBUS – This week has been a busy one for State Representative Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) as three bills he sponsored have been voted out of their respective House Committees. House Bills 372, 423, and 542 were all reported out of their respective committees.
