Members of the Ohio House of Representatives today unveiled a package of bills that together comprise the mid-biennial review (MBR), a 1,600-page document introduced by Governor John Kasich to initiate a series of policy reforms. Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) released the following statement on the House’s introduction of the issue-specific bills:

 

Chairman of the House Prescription Drug Addiction and Healthcare Reform Study Committee, Robert Cole Sprague (R-Findlay), announced that today House Bill 367 passed out of the Ohio House of Representatives. The bill was one of many pieces of legislation included in a package of bills the committee introduced after a thorough study of opioid addiction throughout Ohio.

State Representative Richard Adams (R-Troy) has announced that the State Controlling Board approved the release of funding for Piqua City School District and Covington Exempted Village School District in support of various school district projects.

Speaker of the Ohio House William G. Batchelder (R-Medina) today released the following statement regarding the announcement of state and national job figures, including today’s revised figures from the U.S. Department of Labor showing that Ohio has created more than 238,000 private-sector jobs in the last three years:
