Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) filed a complaint today with the office of the Ohio Inspector General initiating a formal investigation into the Governor and his staff regarding their involvement in the drafting and passage of the nuclear bailout bill that became House Bill 6 in the 133rd General Assembly. This initiates the first non-criminal examination into the activities that occurred in the Governor’s office during the negotiation, drafting, and passage of HB6.
COLUMBUS— State Representatives Paula Hicks-Hudson (D - Toledo), Catherine D. Ingram (D-Cincinnati), Michele Lepore-Hagan (D-Youngstown), and Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Cleveland) wrote a letter to Secretary of State Frank LaRose asking him to account for a directive he issued late Friday afternoon. The directive cuts off six days of vote counting time that counties might need to finish the count. It moves the deadline from November 24 to November 18 for counties to complete the official canvass.
