COLUMBUS – State Reps. Bride Rose Sweeney (D-Westlake) today applauds the unanimous Senate passage of House Bill 338, bipartisan legislation with Rep. Andrea White (R-Kettering) to allow child support orders to be issued or modified for a child with disabilities after that child has turned 18. 

 
 

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) and State Senator Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) Wednesday submitted a filing with the Ohio Supreme Court detailing the alleged legal malpractice of Attorney General Dave Yost and overtly partisan behavior of the Ballot Board chair Secretary of State Frank LaRose concerning each party’s conduct with the Citizens Not Politicians legal matter. 

 
 

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Beryl Brown Piccolantonio (D-Gahanna) today pushed back on the Ohio Controlling Board’s approval of $690K in funding from the Emergency Purposes Fund requested by the Secretary of State’s office. These state dollars will go towards attorney fees and costs associated with the legal defense in the case of League of Women Voters of Ohio v. Frank LaRose. This case concerned legislation (House Bill 458) that was passed during the 2022 lame duck session.

Terrence Upchurch (D-Cleveland) and Senator Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo) —who broke with the majority of Ballot Board members and voted against Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s deceptive and misleading ballot summary language for the Citizens Not Politicians constitutional amendment, Issue 1.
