Richardson Recognizes Marysville High School Girls Wrestling Team Coach

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) today honored Marysville High School Girls Wrestling Team Coach Shawn Andrews on the Ohio House floor. 

Coach Andrews was awarded the 2021 Coach of the Year for girls wrestling by the Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association. 

“Coach Andrews has inspired trust and confidence in our students in their ability to reach their athletic goals, including a state championship title,” said Richardson. “I want to thank Coach Andrews for his dedication and time with the Monarch’s wrestling program.”

Richardson presented a commendation to Coach Andrews honoring this accomplishment. Members of the girls wresting team were also present for the celebration. In addition, Richardson gave the group a tour of the Ohio Statehouse.

The Marysville High School girls wrestling team won the 2021 Ohio High School Wrestling Coaches Association Girls State Championship. Richardson recently also presented a commendation to the team in the district. 

“Their achievements have inspired our community, and I look forward to seeing their continued success inside and outside of athletic competitions,” added Richardson.
