Richardson Praises Star Turbine for Marion Expansion

COLUMBUS –State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) announced Star Turbine will be expanding their operations in Marion after receiving a $50,000 JobsOhio Economic Development Grant. 

The company will invest $1 million to consolidate and expand their operations into a new 40,000 square foot facility. The expansion will create 19 new jobs, while retaining 45 existing positions.

“There is a long tradition of manufacturing in Marion,” said Richardson. “I’m pleased to see that tradition has remained with Star Turbine growing their operations and investing in the City. This development grant will provide economic growth, additional revenue, and job creation bringing more business interest to Marion.”

Star Turbine said the expansion is necessary to help meet their increase in production due to increasing industry challenges. 

The Economic Development Grant promotes economic development, business expansion and job creation by providing funding for eligible projects throughout the state.

Star Turbine is a steam turbine manufacturing company that specializes in designing and installing custom turbine seals.
