Richardson Named Chair of Finance Subcommittee on Primary, Secondary Education Committee

COLUMBUS – Ohio House Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill) appointed State Representative Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) Tuesday to chair the Finance Subcommittee on Primary and Secondary Education Committee.

“The General Assembly has an extremely important responsibility to properly fund education in a way that meets the needs of every child and parent. As the Chair, I understand we have an imperative goal to do this while protecting the hard-earned dollars of all Ohioans,” said Richardson.  “Funding our education system is critical in preparing Ohio’s children for their future. This is a complex challenge which will require members of the subcommittee to roll up their sleeves and get to work. I appreciate the opportunity to do all that I can to ensure parent voices are heard and to fairly fund education.”

Richardson is returning to her role as she chaired the Finance Subcommittee on Primary and Secondary Education Committee of the 134th General Assembly. She also served on the Primary and Secondary Education and Finance committees. 

“Representative Richardson is a talented legislator with a passion for education,” said Stephens. “I am confident in her ability to use her expertise and passion to produce strong policies for Ohio’s schools and children.”
