RICHWOOD –State Rep. Tracy Richardson (R-Marysville) today congratulated Parrott Implement Co. on their 75 years in business.

Parrott Implement Co. offers the newest models in farming machinery and also contains service, parts and sales departments. The company was founded by brothers Don and Chet Parrott after they purchased a John Deere dealership in 1946. Don’s son, Bill, took over the business in 1966 when the founders retired.

Bill moved Parrott Implement Co. from Uptown Richwood to its present location on the East Edge of Richwood. Since then, the 50,000 square foot facility has continued to grow.

“I’m thrilled to recognize Parrott Implement Co. on this outstanding milestone for their business,” said Richardson. “Our community is lucky to have a company that promotes family values while providing essential services and products to meet the needs of the agricultural industry.”

The business currently has 36 employees, with Bill’s children, Donnie, Jean and Rita, son-in-law Damon Crabtree, Damon’s wife Anne, and Connie Parrott now helping to run operations.

Richardson presented a commendation to the business in celebration of the 75th anniversary.
