Rep. Brennan Announces Ohio's 10-Day Tax Holiday

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (Parma) announces Ohio’s upcoming, back-to-school sales tax holiday extension. In 2018, state lawmakers passed legislation making this three-day sales tax holiday a recurring holiday each year. This year Ohio’s sales tax holiday will be extended to ten days, beginning on midnight on July 30th through 11:59 pm on August 8th.

Rep. Brennan Commends Mayor DeGeeter of Parma, Mayor Bibb of Cleveland for Urging Governor to Enact Commonsense Gun Solutions

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) today commends Mayor Timothy DeGeeter of Parma and Mayor Justin Bibb of Cleveland for signing the recent Ohio Mayor's Alliance’s letter to Governor DeWine calling for solutions to gun violence and youth access to firearms. Both mayors joined a coalition of mayors from Ohio’s 31 largest cities to voice their concerns with the ongoing gun violence epidemic harming Ohio’s citizens.

Rep. Brennan Announces $1.2M for Department of Children & Youth for Cribs for Kids, Combat Infant Mortality

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) today announced that the Controlling Board has approved $1.2M under the Department of Children & Youth with the aim of combating infant mortality. The funds will be used in partnership with the non-profit organization Cribs for Kids which will provide eligible parents education on the importance of and how to practice safe sleep with their infant. Cribs for Kids will also furnish parents a product to allow them to put their baby to sleep safely and assist with practice safe sleep.

Rep. Brennan Announces Passage of Final State Capital Budget, Securing Transformative Community Investments in Cuyahoga County

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) announces the passage of House Bill (HB) 2, the state's biennial state capital budget, in both the Ohio House of Representatives & Senate. The record-setting $6.2B investment makes appropriations for state-owned infrastructure, colleges, universities, and school districts as well as other community projects.

Rep. Brennan Announces $106,831 for Local Fairs in Cuyahoga County

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) today announced funding for the Cuyahoga County Fair. These allocations are part of a larger $10M in grants for all 94 county and independent fairs across the state. Funding was awarded by Ohio’s County and Independent Fair Grant Program, with the intent to provide local agricultural societies with the capital to make improvements such as upgrades to grounds, electrical and sanitation systems, machinery and equipment, and ADA accommodations.

Rep. Brennan Passes Legislation Honoring Louis Paul Shuster

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D-Parma) announces the passage of House Bill (HB) 380, a road naming omnibus bill. HB 381, included in this omnibus bill, would designate the interchange of I-480 and West 150th Street in Cleveland as the “Louis P. Shuster Interchange” after Louis Paul Shuster. He was a proud member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (BLET) as well as a father, a brother, a son, and veteran.
