COLUMBUS – State Reps. Sean Patrick Brennan (Parma) and Bill Dean (R-Xenia)  today announced a bipartisan proposal to permanently eliminate the practice of lame duck sessions in the Ohio General Assembly, emphasizing the need for greater accountability, transparency, and integrity in the legislative process.

Sean Patrick Brennan (Parma) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board approved $6.7M in state funds for Cuyahoga County through the State Disaster Relief Program (SDRP) to assist local governments in covering the cost of damages resulting from the tornadoes and severe storms on August 6, 2024.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (Parma) today announced that the Ohio Department of Development is awarding$18.8M in grant funding to Cuyahoga County for the cleanup and remediation throughout the county. The Brownfield Remediation Project focuses on supporting targeted solutions that impact quality of life, such as water infrastructure improvements, broadband expansion, brownfield redevelopment, and the demolition of blighted buildings.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (Parma) today announced grants of $17.5M in funding for public transit agencies for 16 counties in Ohio. The funding will support public workforce transportation and the funding will be provided by ODOT’s Workforce Mobility Partnership Program.

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) held a briefing with FirstEnergy Wednesday regarding electric power outages resulting from severe weather and extensive storm damage. FirstEnergy reported that nearly 500,000 customers lost power and many remained without power for several days.
