Rep. Brennan Congratulates Local Schools for Earning Prestigious Purple Star Award

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Sean Patrick Brennan (D–Parma) today proudly congratulates several schools in Parma City School District for earning the distinguished Purple Star Award, recognizing their strong commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families.
The Purple Star Award is presented to schools that demonstrate a significant dedication to students from military families by meeting rigorous criteria established by the Purple Star Advisory Board. These efforts ensure that students facing the unique challenges of military life receive the support and stability they need to succeed.
The following schools in House District 14 have been recognized with the Purple Star Award:
- Pleasant Valley Elementary School
- Thoreau Park Elementary School
- John Muir Elementary School
- Ridgebrook Elementary School
- Green Valley Elementary School
- Pleasantview First Step Preschool
- Shiloh Middle School
- Greenbriar Middle School
- Hillside Middle School
- Valley Forge High School
- Normandy High School
- Dentzler Elementary School

Schools receiving the Purple Star Award complete a series of required activities along with additional initiatives that demonstrate their commitment to military-connected students and families.
