Fraizer, Miller Announce Approval of Projects for Licking County

State Reps. Mark Fraizer (R-Newark) and Kevin Miller (R-Newark) announce the approval of several measures for Licking County by the Ohio State Controlling Board earlier today. Both representatives applauded the initiatives.

“We’re seeing both community benefits to infrastructure and a local school district within our county – I’m happy to announce the approval of these measures today,” said Fraizer.

“The Village of Kirkersville has a funding project coming its way along with others that seek to benefit our communities and I’m excited to see these moving forward,” said Miller.

The following Licking County projects were approved:

  • $24,554 for radio installations at the ODA campus in Reynoldsburg;
  • $41,829 for construction to a laboratory at the ODA campus;
  • $107,320 for the Licking Soil and Water Conservation District;
  • $351,525 in FY22 and $358,320 in FY23 to build automation services at the ODA campus;
  • $200,000 for public roadwork improvements in support of the New River Electric project in Johnstown;
  • $250,000 for cleanup activities in Kirkersville; and
  • The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission’s (OFCC) request for Expedited Local Partnership Program master facility plans for the Licking Heights Local School District. According to the OFCC request, it includes a state share of $15.1 million and a local share of $53.7 million.

The next State Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for Aug. 16.
