Rep. Brownlee Announces Job Creation Tax Credit Recipient in the City of Blue Ash

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Karen Brownlee (D-Symmes Twp) today announced that Ohio Valley Electrical Services, Inc. in Blue Ash has been awarded a Job Creation Tax Credit by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA). They are expected to create 40 full-time equivalent positions and $2.875 million in new annual payroll.
“State investment into our businesses is incredibly important to the growth and health of our communities in District 28 and across Ohio,” said Rep. Brownlee. “I am proud of the collaboration between residents, businesses, local government, and state government to support this Job Creation Tax Credit award, and will continue to advocate for investment into my local community.”
During their monthly meeting, the Ohio TCA reviewed economic development proposals throughout the state, approving and awarding tax credits to 5 projects that will generate nearly $100 million in statewide investment. Ohio Valley Electrical Services is a full service commercial and industrial electrical contractor offering construction and maintenance services, engineering, electrical control panel design and manufacturing in addition to prefabrication services. The proposed project involves the company evaluating an expansion opportunity to grow its Midwest regional footprint and would involve new construction.
