Pizzulli Honors Local High School Athletes

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) recently presented the Notre Dame High School Softball Team with a resolution in recognition of their outstanding achievement in winning the 2025 Division VII State Championship during a recent House session.
The Notre Dame Titans clinched their historic state title on June 5, 2025, marking the school's first-ever softball state championship. This victory represents a major milestone for Notre Dame High School and the community of Portsmouth.
“The triumph of the Notre Dame Softball Team is a testament to the power of perseverance and the unwavering belief of a community that supports its athletes,” said Rep. Pizzulli “Excellence isn't simply earned; it’s nurtured through hard work, dedication, and the encouragement of those who stand behind them every step of the way."
Earlier this month, Representative Pizzulli also recognized Beau Hesler, a standout athlete from North Adams High School in House session. Hesler was celebrated for his remarkable achievement in becoming the 2025 Ohio High School Athletic Association Division III State Champion in the 800-meter run.
Hesler's victory in the 800-meter run set a personal best and school record time of 1:51.78. This achievement not only earned him the state championship title but also solidified his place as the first-ever state champion in the history of North Adams High School.
"Beau's incredible achievement in the 800-meter run is a shining example of what happens when talent is matched with relentless determination and a network of supporters who believe in your potential,” said Rep. Pizzulli “His victory is not only a personal milestone but a reminder that greatness is cultivated, not just achieved."
