Pizzulli Applauds Transformational Riverfront Project in Portsmouth

COLUMBUS – State Representative Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) is pleased to announce the recent groundbreaking of the Portsmouth Riverfront Park Project, a transformational effort along the Ohio River. 

The project received a $34.2 million grant from the Appalachian Community Grant Program’s Wonderful Waterfront Initiative to support riverfront revitalization efforts. 

“This project along our beautiful riverfront will be transformational for our community and the 90th House District as a whole, fostering community engagement, spurring economic opportunity, and encouraging outdoor recreation,” said Pizzulli. 

Key elements of the project include updates to Alexandra Point Park, including a new scenic riverfront overlook, a community amphitheater, a new riverwalk trail network, an RV campground, and improved access to the Ohio River.
