Rep. Brent issues statement on second anniversary of George Floyd's murder

CLEVELAND – State Representative and President of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus, Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland), issued a statement today regarding the second anniversary of the murder of George Floyd. On May 25th, 2020, George Floyd was arrested on the suspicion that he had used a counterfeit bill to make a purchase.

Democrats issue statement on dramatic committee hearing

COLUMBUS - Today State Rep. State Rep. Brent votes to deliver $3.5 million in American Rescue Plan funds to House District 12

 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) today voted in favor of House Bill (HB) 377, bipartisan legislation to release the second, $442 million batch of local government funding from President Biden’s American Rescue Plan to Ohio’s cities, villages and townships serving 50,000 people or less.

GOP cash bail bills won't keep Ohioans safe

COLUMBUS—State Reps. David Leland (D-Columbus), ranking member on the House Criminal Justice committee, and Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland), president of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus (OLBC) issued a statement today following the House Criminal Justice committee passage of House Joint Resolution (HJR) 2 and House Bill (HB) 607, legislation to increase Ohio’s reliance on cash bail.

Rep. Brent applauds House passage of bill to address substitute teacher shortage, fund school lunch programs
