State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) gave her first testimony during a committee hearing for House Resolution 56, which calls for the elimination of the E-Check program under the Federal Clean Air Act. The program requires Ohio citizens living within Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit Counties to get their vehicles tested every two years to pass regulatory emissions requirements.

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) gave her first testimony on House Bill 226, which increases legal protections for Guardian ad Litems (GALs) and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). This bill makes it a first degree misdemeanor for someone to abuse, threaten, or harass a GAL or CASA in carrying out their court mandated duties for the protection of children across the state.

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces today that the Ohio Legislative Service Commission is accepting applications for its 13-month Legislative and Media Production Fellowship Program. The Commission will hire 24 fellows to work with members of the Ohio General Assembly during 2022.

The legislation the representatives have introduced requires all Schedule II prescriptions to be done electronically, except under certain circumstances. The legislation is meant to address the ongoing concerns of the state’s opioid issues.

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Robert Cupp to a special board involving the 75th Ohio House District. Pavliga’s appointment is to the Board of Trustees of Portage County’s Transportation Improvement District (TID).

State Reps. Gary Click (R-Vickery) and Gail Pavliga (R-Atwater) recently reintroduced legislation to reestablish the Ohio Family Stability Commission under House Bill 173.  The two legislators spoke to the bill within the House Families, Aging, and Human Services Committee earlier today.
