Pavliga Appointed to Portage County Transportation Improvement District Board

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) has been appointed by Ohio House Speaker Robert Cupp to a special board involving the 75th Ohio House District. Pavliga’s appointment is to the Board of Trustees of Portage County’s Transportation Improvement District (TID).

“I’m honored to be selected by Speaker Cupp to fulfill this role for my district,” said Pavliga. “I’m looking forward to working with this body to implement transportation initiatives across Portage County that will lead to true infrastructure investments and improvements for the future.”

TIDs are housed under the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and make decisions on the local financing, construction, maintenance, repair, and operation of transportation and infrastructure projects.

Last year, Jobs & Commerce under ODOT received 44 eligible applications for funding and awarded $4.5 million in the form of 27 Transportation Improvement District (TID) grants.

Currently, 51 counties across Ohio have TIDs.
