Rep. Synenberg Condemns Political Violence, Clarifies Office Leadership
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Eric Synenberg (D-Beachwood) today condemns political violence and inflammatory rhetoric following the assassinations of former Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman, her husband, Mark Hortman, and Charlie Kirk.
“I was elected to serve with integrity. Leadership is a responsibility, there is no room for hatred or violence,” said Rep. Synenberg. “I condemn any actions or inflammatory rhetoric that threaten the safety or dignity of our democratic institutions.”
The office of Rep. Synenberg has received numerous calls and messages mistakenly directed toward the previous office holder. Elliot Forhan is no longer the state representative for Ohio House District 21. Mr. Forhan has absolutely no affiliation with Rep. Synenberg or the values of his office. Recent public statements made by Elliot Forhan concerning Charlie Kirk do not reflect the priorities, ethics, or mission of Rep. Synenberg and his team.
“My constituents in District 21 and across Ohio deserve leadership grounded in accountability and respect,” said Rep. Synenberg. “Holding elected office is a critical role, not a platform for reckless behavior. I hold this responsibility seriously and conduct myself with accountability, clarity, and a commitment to public service, not chaos.”
Constituents who are seeking information or assistance are always encouraged to contact Rep. Synenberg’ s office directly by email, Rep21@ohiohouse.gov, or by phone (614) 644-5079.
