Representative Troy Announces Additional Funding to Support Child Care Centers

COLUMBUS - State Representative Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) today encouraged eligible child care facilities to apply for the fourth round of child care stabilization grants. $200M in child care discretionary funding can be used for workforce recruitment and retention, expanding access, operating costs, or mental health and wellbeing of students and employees. Additionally, Representative Troy announced that the base rates for publicly funded child care will increase beginning February 4, 2024.

Reps. Troy and Callender's Bill Designating November 19th as "James A. Garfield Day" Ceremonially Signed by Governor

COLUMBUS – State Reps. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) and Jamie Callender (R-Concord) yesterday celebrated the ceremonial signing of House Bill (HB) 61 by Governor DeWine. The bill passed unanimously in both the Ohio House and the Ohio Senate.

Rep. Troy Attempts to Increase & Expand Homestead Exemption by Forcing Floor Vote

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) last week attempted to provide much needed property tax relief for seniors by introducing an amendment on the Ohio House floor. Rep. Troy’s amendment would have increased and expanded the homestead exemption in consideration of House Bill (HB) 187, which was voted on in the Ohio House Session on October 11, 2023.

Ohio Scholars in Aging Program Application Period Now Open Announced by Representative Troy

COLUMBUS – State Representative Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced that the 2023-2024 Ohio Scholars in Aging program application period is now open. This program is a partnership with the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) and the Ohio Association of Gerontology and Education (OAGE).

Representative Troy Announces Over $750,000 to Install Drainage & Restore Disturbed Areas at the Mentor Marsh Salt Fill Site

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) Monday  announced that the Controlling Board has approved a $769,765.20 appropriation increase for the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to install drainage and restore disturbed areas at the Mentor Marsh Salt Fill Site.
