Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) and other House Democrats called on the PUCO to take immediate action to address the reliability of Ohio's power grid in light of recent severe weather events that have caused widespread outages.

Troy (D-Willowick) today announced $100,735 in state funding that the Ohio Department of Agriculture and the Ohio Grape Industries Council (OGIC) will use to contract with Great Lakes Publishing Co. to provide marketing and promotion materials for Ohio’s wine industry.

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) secured $300K to assist in the repair and restoration of the Lake Overlook Park. The funding will come from the recently passed State Capital Budget. Rep. Troy attended the most recent Mentor-on-the-Lake City Council meeting to publicly announce the good news.  

COLUMBUS - State Representative Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) secured funding so that Project Hope for the Homeless will receive $15,328 from the recently passed State Capital Budget. Since 1993, nearly 9,000 children and adults experiencing homelessness in Northeast Ohio have received shelter, care, and guidance through Project Hope for the Homeless, the only emergency shelter in Lake County, Ohio. 

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) today announced the passage of House Bill (HB) 2, the state's biennial state capital budget, in both the Ohio House of Representatives & Senate. The record-setting $6.2B investment makes appropriations for state-owned infrastructure, colleges, universities, and school districts as well as other community projects. 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) today announced funding for The Lake County Agricultural Society. These allocations are part of a larger $10M in grants for all 94 county and independent fairs across the state. Funding was awarded by Ohio’s County and Independent Fair Grant Program, with the intent to provide local agricultural societies with the capital to make improvements such as upgrades to grounds, electrical and sanitation systems, machinery and equipment, and ADA accommodations.

COLUMBUS – As corporate bailout costs for failing coal plants in Ohio and Indiana are projected to climb to $500 million over the next six months, Ohio House Democrats today highlighted consumer protections in a pair of bills the Democrats say would reverse the economic damage of the corrupt passage of House Bill 6.
