Rep. Troy announces House passage of capital reappropriations bill bringing nearly $1.5 million of state funding to Lake County
COLUMBUS– State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) yesterday announced his co-sponsorship of and the Ohio House passage of House Bill (HB) 597, which reappropriates nearly $1.5 million in capital funds to Lake County for the FY 2023-24 biennium.
"The reappropriation of these funds is crucial to supporting many important projects throughout Lake County. As a member of the House Finance Committee, I am proud to have worked on HB 597 to ensure our community projects receive all the necessary funding," said Rep. Troy.
HB 597 includes provisions that reappropriate state funds to the following Lake County projects:
$300,000 for an amphitheater in Willoughby
$300,000 to support the Magic Mile Trail
$250,000 for the Cedar Hills Transformation Camp
$200,000 for renovations to the Fairport Harbor Lighthouse
$200,000 for the Holden Arboretum
$125,000 to support Unionville Tavern Improvements
$120,000 for the Forbes House Domestic Violence Project
HB 597 was passed unanimously in the House and now heads to the Senate for further consideration.
