COLUMBUS — State Rep. Derrick Hall (D-Akron) today announced the passage of Senate Bill 450, the state’s biennial state capital budget, in both the Ohio House of Representatives and Senate. The $3.7 billion investment makes appropriations for state-owned infrastructure, colleges, universities, and school districts, as well as other community projects.

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Derrick Hall (D-Akron) last week introduced The Fracking Accountability and Chemical Transparency Act, or the F.A.C.T. Act. This legislation, House Bill (HB) 958, aims to prioritize transparency and take steps towards a healthier Ohio by requiring companies to disclose the chemicals they use in oil and gas well operations. The F.A.C.T. Act also requires this information to be made public, and requires random sampling to ensure truthful reporting.

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Derrick Hall (D-Akron) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board approved one item from the Department of Development to provide $156K to Pyramid Holdings III LLC for assistance in the purchase of an industrial warehouse in Tallmadge, Ohio. This purchase is intended to facilitate business development and create jobs in the district. As a result of the approval, six full-time jobs will be created at the warehouse on South Thomas Road.
