COLUMBUS — State Rep. Ashley Bryant Bailey (D-Cincinnati) today announced the passage of Senate Bill 450, the state's biennial capital appropriations budget. The bill allocates nearly $4B for the maintenance, renovation, and construction of state-owned infrastructure, including colleges, universities, school districts, and other community projects.

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Ashley Bryant Bailey (D-Cincinnati) yesterday voted against Senate Bill (SB) 315, a bill originally meant to modernize Ohio’s SNAP program, which was later amended to include House Bill (HB) 715. A bill to reform Ohio’s Medicaid program. Rep. Bryant Bailey gave the following statement regarding her no vote:

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Ashley Bryant Bailey (D-Cincinnati) yesterday voted against SJR 10, a resolution that would place Ohio's strict photo identification requirement into the Ohio Constitution, sending the measure to voters on the November ballot. Rep. Bryant Bailey also introduced an amendment on the House floor that would have guaranteed free state identification and drivers license, along with a free pathway to obtain the documents required to obtain that ID. Republicans rejected the amendment.

COLUMBUS — State Reps. Erika White (D-Springfield Township) and Ashley Bryant-Bailey (D-Cincinnati) recently introduced legislation to provide publicly funded childcare benefits to childcare employees who work at least 20 hours per week. House Bill (HB) 768 allows county Jobs and Family Services offices to exclude family income when determining eligibility for publicly funded childcare.
