Roemer, West CPA Exams Legislation Moves Forward

State Representatives Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) and Thomas West (D-Canton) announce that House Bill 442 passed out of the House Commerce and Labor Committee earlier today. The two representatives are joint sponsors of the legislation, which makes changes to allow students in Ohio to complete the Certified Public Accountancy (CPA) after 120 semester hours of the required 150 hours of coursework.

Roemer's Legislation Creating 'Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad' Plate Passes Committee

State Rep. Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announces that yesterday House Bill 544, which creates the “Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad” license plate, passed out of the House Transportation and Public Safety Committee through a unanimous vote. Stan Hywet and Roemer Announce Opening of Historic Grounds to the Community

The grounds at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens will open to the public on Friday, April 24, 2020 for walking in the gardens, as a service to the community during the pandemic. Only the gardens and grounds will be open, and the number of guests will be limited to maintain a safe environment. State Rep. State Rep. Roemer Announces CDBG Funding for Summit and Stark Counties

State Rep. Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announced that funding from the CARES Act will be distributed to areas within both Summit and Stark counties to aid against COVID-19. Roemer Announces E-Check Elimination Resolution Passage

State Representative Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) announced Thursday the passage of House Resolution 247 through the Ohio House of Representatives. As favorably reported by the Ohio House Energy and Natural Resources Committee, HR 247 respectfully urges Congress and President Donald J. Trump to amend the Federal Clean Air Act to eliminate the requirement to implement the E-Check Program. The resolution would provide relief to seven Northeast Ohio counties currently subjected to the arduous regulations stipulated through E-Check.
