Ashley Bryant Bailey (D-Cincinnati) today condemned Republican lawmakers for passing Senate Bill (SB) 293, a shameful, voter-suppressing measure designed to disenfranchise Ohioans and create unnecessary barriers to the ballot box. In a brazen attack on the fundamental right to vote, SB 293 aims to suppress voter turnout, throw out valid ballots, and undermine the integrity of Ohio’s elections. 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Bryant Bailey (D–Cincinnati) today issued a warning to Ohioans as Republican lawmakers attempt to rush three voter-suppression bills through the legislative process before the end of the year. Rep. Bryant Bailey called the package a “coordinated attack on Ohioans’ voting rights” and made clear that she will not stand by while politicians manipulate the rules to hold onto power.
