COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tristan Rader (D-Lakewood) today responded to the House passage of Senate Bill (SB) 1, the Higher Education Destruction Act: 

COLUMBUS – State Reps Tristan Rader (D-Lakewood) and Kellie Deeter (R-Norwalk) today introduced the “Enhanced Cybersecurity for SNAP Act of 2025.” This critical piece of bipartisan legislation would help protect Ohio’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients from the growing issue of electronic theft and fraud. According to the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS), from June 2023 to January 2025, almost $17 million in SNAP benefits have been stolen in Ohio. 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tristan Rader (D-Lakewood) today sent a letter to U.S. Senators Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) and Jon Husted (R-Ohio) where he voiced his concerns regarding the proposed federal budget cuts to Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Tristan Rader (D-Lakewood) today helped pass the bipartisan Ohio Transportation Budget (House Bill 54) through the Ohio House of Representatives. COLUMBUS – State Reps. Tristan Rader (D-Lakewood) and Crystal Lett (D-Columbus) today reintroduced the “Ohio Fairness Act.” This legislation is modeled after the 2020 Supreme Court decision, Bostock v. Clayton County, and would prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity in employment, housing, or public accommodations.

The court’s ruling mandates that Ohio reinstate its participation in the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) program and secure the nearly $900M in federal relief funds owed to Ohioans.
