State Representative Mark Romanchuk (R-Mansfield) joined the Ohio House this week to present a resolution on behalf of William J. Hartnett and his life. “Bill” Hartnett’s family was present to receive the resolution.

State Representatives Jonathan Dever (R-Madeira) and Dorothy Pelanda (R-Marysville) today applauded the Ohio House’s passage of House Bill 270. The legislation, which they jointly sponsored, provides additional judicial discretion when dealing with Ohio’s heroin epidemic.

Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) today announced that Candice Keller (R-Middletown) has been sworn in as state representative of the 53rd House District. Keller fills the seat vacated by former Representative Tim Derickson this summer.

The Ohio House today unanimously passed House Bill 535, sponsored by State Representative Rick Perales (R-Beavercreek), which requires Ohio employers to hold the employment position of any out-of-state National Guard member who is called to serve in the state in which they are enlisted.

Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) today announced that Wesley A. Goodman (R-Cardington) has been sworn in as state representative of the 87th House District. Goodman fills the seat vacated by former Representative Jeff McClain earlier this fall.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Cheryl Grossman (R-Grove City) was recently awarded the 2016 Diamond Ohio Award by TBDBITL Alumni Club, which is the organization that supports The Ohio State Marching Band. 

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) is pleased to announce that Scioto County was recently awarded $230,000 through the Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program to tear down unsafe, blighted buildings and prepare those sites for new opportunities.

To date, approximately $99,000 of these funds have been utilized, with additional projects expected to move forward.

State Representatives Nathan Manning (R-North Ridgeville) and Nan Baker (R-Westlake) today applauded the Ohio Senate’s passage of House Bill 300, legislation that would strengthen the penalties on drivers who are convicted of OVI-related aggravated vehicular homicide. House Bill 300, sponsored by Reps. Manning and Baker, passed out of the Ohio House last year.
