COLUMBUS – State Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) issued the following statement on Governor DeWine’s recent press conference, calling on the Legislature to abolish the death penalty in Ohio:

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – State Representative Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) Wednesday voted in support of Ohio’s Capital Budget bill, a two-year capital improvements budget for community projects throughout the state totaling nearly $4 billion.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland), Chairwoman of the House Health Committee, this week voted in support of the “SHE WINS” Act, legislation that ensures a woman’s right to make a fully informed decision about an elective abortion without modifying provisions in the Ohio Constitution.
