The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation recently including measures to protect businesses from COVID-19 related lawsuits and to continue fighting the opioid crisis in the state.

State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R–North Canton), who sits on the State Controlling Board, announced that the body today approved Stark State College, COVID-19 relief, and Educational Service Centers (ESCs) funding. The Stark State College funding is for several infrastructure projects while the COVID-19 relief will be allocated to local governments across Ohio.

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation recently including measures to improve the unemployment compensation system in Ohio and expand residential broadband services throughout the state.

State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) announces Ohio’s annual sales tax holiday will be happening for consumers across the state from Aug. 7-9. The holiday marks the weekend where Ohioans will not have to pay state sales and use taxes on clothing items, school supplies and school instructional materials up to a certain price.

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation recently including measures to update outdated fair laws and protect confidentiality for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, stalking, and sexual assault.

The House was successful in passing several pieces of legislation in the last few weeks, including measures to help Ohio recover and reopen from the COVID-19 pandemic and to expand telemedicine access.

State Rep. Scott Oelslager (R–North Canton), who sits on the State Controlling Board, announced that the body recently approved coronavirus relief funding to support local schools preparing for the beginning of the upcoming school year. 

The House was successful in passing a number of pieces of legislation in the last several weeks including measures to modify the requirements to obtain a CPA certificate and to revise the occupational licensing restrictions applicable to individuals convicted of criminal offenses.
