Rep. Scott Oelslager to Chair Ohio House Finance Committee
COLUMBUS— Speaker of the House Larry Householder (R-Glenford) has announced that State Representative Scott Oelslager (R-N. Canton) was appointed Friday to serve as Chairman of the Ohio House Finance Committee for the 133rd General Assembly.
Representative Oelslager had served as Finance Chair previously in the Ohio Senate before returning to the People’s House to represent Ohio’s 48th House District.
Speaker Householder released the following statement:
“I am grateful that the Ohio House Republican Caucus has members like Scott Oelslager with robust experience and a depth of knowledge that spans a variety of issue areas. As we begin to craft a budget that meets the needs of Ohioans, it is essential to the process that the Finance Committee have strong, insightful leadership. Chairman Oelslager is the perfect person for the job.”
Oelslager is serving his first consecutive term in the Ohio House after serving multiple terms in the Senate and House previously. He represents the 48th District, which includes portions of Stark County.
