Scott Oelslager News

COLUMBUS — State Representative Scott Oelslager (R-North Canton) supported several pieces of legislation regarding key issues during the House’s previous voting session Wednesday, February 16th.

“I want to continue the focus on issues that directly impact Ohioans and support bills that can improve their day-to-day lives,” said Oelslager. “The legislation passed last Wednesday is consistent with that mission.”

Oelslager voted ‘yes’ on the following measures:

·         House Bill 405, would clarify the nature of the appointing authority for boards of county hospital trustees and allow additional members on the board of a charter county hospital.

·         House Bill 427, would prohibit the use of a controlled substance or manipulation of a controlled substance addiction as a method of human trafficking or to compel prostitution.

·         House Bill 447, which regards workers' compensation for employees who work from home and make other changes to the Workers' Compensation Law.

In addition to voting favorably, Oelslager opted to cosponsor House Bill 427 and House Bill 447.

The measures now await hearings in their perspective Senate committees for further consideration.
