Effort to rename portion of Ohio 7 in Abdalla's memory progressing

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — Ohio 96th District Rep. Ron Ferguson has reported his bill to rename a portion of Ohio 7 in Stratton after the late Sheriff Fred Abdalla is moving along.
It passed through committee and will next be taken up for vote on the House floor.
The bill would rename a section of Ohio 7 in Abdalla's hometown of Stratton to "Sheriff Abdalla Memorial Highway."
Ferguson isn't sure when the vote on the floor will take place.
