State Rep. State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) today highlighted several key priorities Democrats were able to deliver for Ohio taxpayers in 2020. These accomplishments include securing $4.53 billion in funding to assist local communities, front line workers, first responders, students and schools, and small businesses. COLUMBUS— State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) today sent a letter to Gov. Mike DeWine asking him to not sign into law and veto Senate Bill (SB) 33, which broadens the definition and increases penalties for potential damages at protests of utilities and energy infrastructure; SB 175, which was amended to include dangerous “Stand Your Ground” provisions; and SB 260, which restricts women’s medical choices for telehealth abortion medication.

State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) yesterday voted in favor of House Bill (HB) 409, which included amendments from the Senate that suspend state report card grades for districts and other requirements for the 2020-2021 K-12 school year. These temporary changes are needed due to the uncommon school year caused by health safety measures to address the COVID-19 pandemic.

COLUMBUS— State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) today announced the introduction of the $2.1 billion capital appropriations budget for fiscal years 2021-2022 as an amendment during the Senate Bill (SB) 310 conference committee. Cuyahoga County will be receiving over $80.6 million in capital appropriations for projects.

COLUMBUS— State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) yesterday voted in favor of the Fair School Funding Plan, House Bill (HB) 305, bipartisan legislation sponsored by Rep. John Patterson (D-Jefferson), Rep. Gary Scherer (R-Circleville) and Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima), that would transform the way Ohio’s schools are funded.

State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) Thursday voted no on Conference Committee changes to Senate Bill (SB) 89, saying that Republican changes in the EdChoice Scholarship program failed to address the problems in the program. COLUMBUS— State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) today made a statement on the death of 53-year-old Detective James Skernivitz, a 25-year veteran of the Cleveland Police Department and Brecksville resident. Det. Skernivitz was shot and killed in the line of duty Thursday night, Sept. 3^rd.
