Issue 1 Poll Proves Overwhelming, Bipartisan Support to Vote "NO" on August Special Election for Special Interests

Latyna M. Humphrey News

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Latyna M. Humphrey (D-Columbus) today says the new USA TODAY Network/Suffolk University poll that shows 57% of likely Ohio voters are against Issue 1 proves there is overwhelming, bipartisan support to defeat this undemocratic attack by extremists and special interest to make it harder to amend the Ohio constitution.

“It is a well-known fact that the majority of the public opposes Issue 1. As responsible citizens, it is our duty to ensure that our voices are heard. Vote ‘NO’ on August 8th,” said Rep. Humphrey.

Along with extremely strong Democratic support, the USA TODAY Network/Suffolk University poll of 500 likely Ohio voters found that, “41% of Republicans, 60% of independents and 41% of Ohioans who voted for President Donald Trump in 2020 said they're also against it.”

House Dems are united on voting “NO” on the unpopular, unfair, & undemocratic Issue 1 which would end majority rule in Ohio. Get more info on making a plan to vote “NO” to protect our freedoms here.
