Rep. Deeter Highlights Controlling Board Approval for All Ohio Future Funds for Lorain County Regional Airport
State Representative Kellie Deeter (R-Norwalk) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board approved $67.4M in funding for waste-water facility enhancements to the Lorain County Regional Airport.
“This funding in wastewater infrastructure will provide new opportunity for development around the Lorain County Regional Airport. Improving the utility services will pave the way for economic growth and long-term sustainability for our area,” Deeter said.
This funding will provide significant water and sanitary access for business attraction, facilitating new economic development and job creation opportunities. Specifically, this will fund upgrades of water and wastewater lines to the airport, and the design and engineering of a wastewater treatment plant.
These improvements will allow the Lorain County Regional Airport to be marketable to a variety of potential major end-users and encourage investment in the region.
The All Ohio Future Fund was established in the 2024-2025 state operating budget. This initiative provides funding to support local communities with site-readiness and preparation to attract economic development projects. The funds are administered through the Ohio Department of Development.
