COLUMBUS – State Representative Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) and House Democrats Monday announced the approval of funds by the state Controlling Board to further aid Ohio’s response to the health and economic hardships caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) recognizes Sunday, Oct. 11 as National Coming Out Day, an annual LBGTQ awareness day designated to celebrate and commend the bravery of all those who have come out as LGBTQ. Crossman (D- Parma) and Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) introduced legislation on Thursday, July 30, the day that Lewis was laid to rest, to designate Feb. 21 as “John Lewis Voter Registration Day.” The day, picked because it is Lewis’ birthday, would promote voter registration throughout Ohio and remember all the important work Lewis did to expand voting rights for all Americans.

COLUMBUS –State Rep. David Leland (D-Columbus) and State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) filed the Eviction Crisis Response Act on Monday, which allocates $270 million from Ohio’s rainy-day fund to create a program for immediate rental assistance. 

COLUMBUS— State Representative Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) has partnered with Warrensville Heights Councilwoman Andrea Mitchell alongside a host of local organizations to host The 2020 Community Check-Up. Taking place on August 1 from 10 a.m. to 2  p.m., this event will feature free mobile census completion, COVID-19 testing, fresh produce and voter registration on site at Warrensville Heights High School.
