COLUMBUS – State Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) made a statement following the passage of Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 10 on the House floor. SJR 10 passed with a 60-34 vote.
“SJR 10 claims to protect our elections, but it fails to protect the methods most Ohioans actually rely on,” said Rep. Juanita Brent. “If we were truly serious about our elections, we would be providing more funding for our County Boards of Elections. We would be making Election Day a national holiday, implementing automatic voter registration at the BMV, expanding drop box access, and accepting digital IDs from the U.S. Veterans Administration.”
